Fender 60 years: 1946-2006

Exhibition dedicated to the 60 years¬†of Fender,¬†revealing some of the¬†electric and bass¬†guitars, as well as¬†amplifiers¬†that contributed¬†¬†to the fame¬†of this¬†trademark,¬†with which musicians¬†such¬†as Eric Clapton, Sting or Jimi Hendrix are associated.
Among the exhibited¬†¬†instruments there were¬†‚ÄúSignature Strat‚ÄĚ¬†of Eric Clapton, ‚ÄúPrecision Bass‚ÄĚ with Sting¬īs signature¬†and¬†fussy ‚ÄúStratocaster‚ÄĚ Buddy Guy Polka Dot¬†which¬†this musician of blues¬†dedicated¬†to the Portuguese public.¬†There were¬†guitars spread¬†inside the area of the Museum¬†to enable the visitors¬†to¬†play them freely.
The exhibition, which was integrated in the¬†International Museum Day and in the Museum Night, had a special programme¬†with live¬†music,¬†electric guitar workshops, a conference about the cultural phenomenon¬†of Fender¬†and the¬†offer of a¬†guitar¬†to the visitor who wrote¬†the best sentence¬†about Fender,¬†the museum and young people.
